First Connection

3 03 2007

Welcome to my new blog, hosted by the lovely folks at WordPress. For the record, i’m Matt (or NiM) and am a traceur from Nottingham, UK. I also enjoy photography, so yeah, keep that in mind. This site will start looking better after a while, just takes a while to modify!

The first time is always the hardest, they say..
Well, its approaching the end of half term, and I must say i’m disappointed with myself. There was a time when I started Parkour and i’d train solidly during half-term, albeit getting new things or not, but I always went to town and did something. I haven’t been this week at all. That, to me, is depressing, and its really shown me how Parkour is slowly declining in my life.

Due to this unfortunate event, i’m setting myself several targets between now and the Easter break. My precision jumps are currently in decline, as are my cat pass’ and arm jumps. These are amongst my new targets.

(i) Improve precision jump distance, technique and landings.
(ii) Increase cat pass and arm jump distances, technique and landings.
(iii) Train every other day for 3-5 hours.
(iv) Condition legs, arms and shoulders for an hour every other day (alternate sessions e.g. monday: legs, wednesday: arms etc).
(v) SPARE TARGET SLOT – If I encounter a problem during this period, I can add another target here.

My regards to everyone who has pushed me in the past, or is pushing me further now. Thank you.

NiM
