“Well I turned up to todays jam along with david good too see alot of new faces around
So we basically went down to bilbie walk, people did a warm up and general messing about, was a nice crowd.
After a certain amount of time Brownie decided that he wanted to try the running catleap from blue rail to the white fence,
He had like two attempts and failed then flip did it and about put the fence through
David got pumped up cause brownie couldn’t make hims elf do it again.
David had a trail run then did it and grabbed it but fell off and landed on his ass in style cause he pulled out mid way.
The next time he seemed to not really wanna do it and was hesitant in doing it after a while when we were already he went for it.
As he jumped for it he seemd to have grabbed it with his hands, or perhaps not but his feet hit the fence and bounced him off it, making him falling backwards which he landed VERY heavy on his back and slammed his head on the grate
Flip supported davids head and Everyone rushed over to help even members of the public and one irish women who was a first aider or something.
It was obvious david didn’t knock him self out but his head was bleeded and so people put together bandannas and what ever they had.
Shortly after the paramedic arrived as did the ablulence, before rushing david off to hospital and I went with him too as I wasn’t training today due to my injury.
We had to wait in qmc for hours all so they could glue his head up .
David will be just fine he still has his brain in tact and had to have a bit of a hair cut to glue it up but apart fromt aht he’ll be back out training asap and not doing something so daring as that running cat for the meanwhile.
Thanks to everyone that rushed in to help, acted professional and in a civil manner as well as genuinely caring for his safty at his time of need.
There is a morel to this story is NOT to ATTEMPT big things at all untill your body is prepared for it, being daft in the short term can be very bad for ones self.
David was obviously more then capable of doing this jump even though it was shall we say a little ridiculous, and so it was a freak mishap.
Just be careful while you train guys anything bad can happen at any time if your not focused or not ready for soemthing. If they do you need to know how to react, by drilling things on a smaller scale and doing body conditioning all helps aid combat these sort of things from happening as much.
What else happened during the day please inform!

“I love how Jiks thinks that taking letters out of words makes typing quicker.
Just messing. Well, after what everyone knows was probably the biggest bail of NPK’s life, definetly the biggest one I’ve seen in my 5 months, we headed off to the cat leap next to Hosues in order for some people to get a cat done and renerve themselves. Since I can’t do that cat yet, I went off to Houses with Joe, with Max, Ben and Nim going off for some food and drink, while the others stayed filming.
Needless to say, the rest of the jam had a very good attitude, with people being alot more sensible about what they were doing, looking out for each other more and just those little things, in my eyes, made us pull together as a team etc. At the end of the day, that’s what NPK’s there for – for like minded people to work together in safety and push the boundaries.
Anyway, yes, the jam. At Houses, people started seeing new things, such as the diagonal version of Houses Cat and also some interesting dive rolls / running clears around near the stairs area. That is of course, until we got stopped by the freaky woman.
After this, we hit Precision Triangle for the first time in a while and started looking at some of the bigger running precisions. After a few attempts both good and bad – onlookers will remember my bail – I did it, triggering frantic rushes from Jak, Brownie and Jiks, all determined to get it as well. I know Jiks almost got there, Brownie had it and Jak couldn’t get there, but all the same, good bit of fun right there.
We then moved down to the scaffolded area and the dive kongs etc, in which people got a few nice chains going on (Brownies comes to mind) and a few more new moves coming along (Jak’s dive kong through the stone V which Zade and I usually sit in) and then of course, there was my bail. I’m still not sure what happened, but I tried an akward diving speed, and according to Ben, my leg caught the bush next to it, dragged half my body round and I ended up dive rolling out of it over some glass, amoungst other things. Luckily, I only got a fair amount of flesh wounds on my elbow and a fair chunk of skin missing from my hand.
Blue rails were next, and after a short amount of flow and double tapping, we headed off to UN for some relatively relaxed PK as the day started to get long. Alot of us went onto the add on area, when a fair amount of security guards came out of nowhere and kicked us off. They were also talking about someone on the roof too, but we never got to see the D13 chase scene we were all hoping for. So, after messing about and showboating infront of the emo congregation, a few people snuck back into the added area and started doing some of the bigger moves. Jak hit the UN cat to cat, and I think Brownie did as well, although I didn’t see it, so kudos to them two.
After the rather weird half hour, we were back on our way to a place Jak called “Cat Alley” – new one for me anyway. Basically, cat leaps galore as the name implies, but not many of which were being done, despite about 5 people trying a particularly akward kong to cat.
Moving on to the penultimate stop on our journey, we ended up sharing Audo with some bikers and chavs – not usually a good mix, but it kept us entertained for a while with the chavs trying PK, and the bikers just being alright for a change. This was mainly used as Jaks tricking session – such a showoff
Lastly, we went to Peoples for a warm down, nothing seriously worth writing happening there really.
*wipes sweat from brow* 5 minutes of flat out typing later, thats the jam done.”
